3 image overlay in Adobe Photoshop; Gouache on board and colored pencil on vellum 17" x 11" In this illustration of the Okapi, I explored a very typical pose of the animal stretching it’s head upward to feed on tree vegetation. The challenge in this pose was to render the inner bone and muscle sections. With very few images available, I was able to complete this pose through research and using the boxed and wire techniques, as well as anatomical sketches. |
