Mammals: I love them walking around and long dead.

Red fox
Vulpes vulpes
Watercolor on cold press watercolor paper
9" x 8"
I’m fascinated by the machines that are mammals. They are so similar and yet so different. An expert can tell the difference between similar species from minute details. Or what an animal eats just from looking at its teeth.
The red fox is the largest true fox. Despite their name, they come in all sorts of color, from the brilliant red they are named for to silver and black. They are so successful that they are a noxious species in some areas.
